Yoga Teacher Training

Yoga Teacher Training

Awaken to who you are

After practicing yoga for some time, perhaps the small voice within is getting louder. You know, the one which reminds you that yoga is a path to the place where you feel most grounded, whole and at ease with your Self. And that no matter what’s going on in your life, yoga can provide calm amidst the storm, and clarity amidst confusion. That voice may also be encouraging you to take your practice to a deeper level.

If so, consider taking LivingYoga Teacher Training. In this 200-hour program, you’ll expand your knowledge and skills to take your learning to the highest level…teaching others.

With 30 million people in America now practicing yoga, the need for yoga teachers has never been greater. In living rooms, schools, hospitals, prisons, parks, resorts and churches all over the world, people are finding the benefits of yoga support a happier and healthier lifestyle.

“LivingYoga” is a 200 Hour training for yogis who wish to open their hearts to a wider personal practice, as well as aspiring instructors, who need a solid foundation to support the deep transformation possible through yoga. Learn the postures, methods of breathing, and relaxation techniques that help you experience your intrinsic wholeness, all in a compassionate setting focused on self-inquiry.

Study yoga basics

With this unique, 4 hour weekly, Sunday evening format, you can immerse yourself in a Yoga Teacher Training while still maintaining a full work/home life. Your study includes an overview of the roots, philosophy, and history of modern yoga, as well as  the fundamentals of movement, controlled breathing, and meditation to bring us closer to Source and encourage us to come “home” to ourselves.

Learn to teach

The highest level of learning is to teach others. Through this training learn the benefits and modifications necessary for a healthy yoga practice. Learn how to create a safe, supportive environment for a general yoga class. Find your inner teacher in a loving circle of like-minded practitioners, offering feedback and encouragement throughout.

Using these tools, learn how to create a sweet centering from the teachings of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, or inspiring poets. Create a well sequenced class around the subtle energies of koshas/chakras. Offer space for quiet and peace in Savasana and meditation. Above all, your instruction will be about an on-going connection with those you are teaching and who you are.
